Job Description
-
Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas.
-
Receive, store, and distribute inventoried equipment in a safe manner
-
Pull and organize customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket/work order in priority assigned
-
Package, label and ship orders by UPS, US Mail, bus, motor freight and local truck deliveries.

Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Secure all warehouse assets (equipment, drop materials, tools and supplies) in accordance with established security measures to control overall warehouse integrity
-
Safeguard and account for all inventory moving in and out of the warehouse

Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Operate warehouse equipment such as dollies and hand carts in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA regulations
-
Work closely with dispatchers, sales and management staff to ensure ample materials are available at all times to support day to day activities

Report unsafe acts, carelessness and theft to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately

Maintain warehouse and tool areas in a clean, organized and orderly fashion

Inventory count and cleaning of warehouse in advance of warehouse reorganizations

Complete paperwork and data entry processes as directed

Projects as assigned

Material Request: administration of process & reconciliation

Inventory count and cleaning of warehouse in advance of warehouse reorganization

Parts Used restock process

Stock level maintenance - noting and managing seasonal par levels

Parts ordering support for manager as needed

Tool and Supply Room management - assist Inventory Manager in implementing systematic reordering
Requirements
-
High School diploma or GED preferred
-
Must be detail-oriented, dependable and demonstrate the ability to follow directions
-
Basic mechanical aptitude
-
Minimum of 2 years of previous warehouse and inventory control experience required
-
Material handling equipment experience preferred (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)

Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record if driving a company vehicle
-
Must be able to pass a drug screen if employee is involved in an injury/accident
-
Must be able to use computer effectively utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Excel
-
Ability to lift and carry loads of 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.

Work while standing 50-75% of the time
-
Ability to manipulate objects and use warehousing equipment
-
Must be able to see and hear to effectively perform job functions
-
Work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions and varying noise levels
